iRed supports the IRTrans, a very powerful device with excellent transmission and reception capabilities. So the IRTrans is able to receive weak signals very reliably - even in "blind corner locations". With direct visibility the IRTrans may transmit up to 50 feet..

The IRTrans is a low power USB device so it may be connected to any USB port - directly to your Mac or to any USB hub. The IRTrans design fits well to the Aqua design of Mac OS X, the dimensions are small (2.8x 2 x 0.75").

For a little surcharge, the IRTrans is also available in white.

The IRTrans is capable of learning and sending nearly all infrared signals. Only for the very special B&O (Bang & Olufson) devices you'll need a special IRTrans. The transmission of B&O signals is possible with all IRTrans models.

On the left you see the USB connector, on top the control light, which flashes green on reception and red on transmission of signals. The transmit and receive LEDs are located on the right side - not directly visible in this picture.
